An Overview of the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme

A new agricultural project has been launched to support the irrigation needs of over 83,900 acres of farmland across 75 villages in the Gadwal and Alampur regions, along with other areas in the former Palamuru (Mahbubnagar) district of Telangana. This initiative aims to improve agricultural productivity by enhancing water supply and management, which is critical for the livelihoods of local farmers in these regions.

The project is expected to benefit a diverse range of crops and farming practices, ensuring more sustainable agricultural development. In addition to bolstering local economies, it may also play a significant role in addressing water scarcity issues that have been a challenge for farmers in the area. As part of broader efforts to revitalize rural agriculture, stakeholders are optimistic that this project will contribute to food security and community resilience in the region.
