Bengalurus Vertical Development Deemed Inevitable, According to CM D.K. Shivakumar

The Chief Minister has declared that Kempe Gowda Jayanti will transition from being celebrated exclusively at Vidhana Soudha to a more inclusive annual celebration across Bengaluru. Over the next 28 years, the event will be observed in a different one of the city’s 28 Assembly constituencies each year.

Kempe Gowda, regarded as the founder of Bengaluru, has significant cultural and historical importance to the city. This initiative aims to foster greater community engagement and appreciation of Bengalurus heritage among residents in various constituencies. The Chief Minister believes that moving the celebrations throughout the city will help promote local traditions and connect residents with their shared history.
