Monsoon Update: Three Fatalities Reported in Arunachal Pradesh Floods; IMD Forecasts Arrival of Monsoon in Northern India Within 5-6 Days

On June 28, heavy rainfall impacted the suburbs of Mumbai, with over 100 mm of precipitation recorded in various locations. The intense showers led to localized flooding in certain areas, causing disruptions to daily activities for residents.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued warnings prior to the rainfall, indicating the possibility of heavy showers due to a developing weather system. Local authorities have mobilized resources to address any flooding issues and to ensure public safety.

In response to the ongoing rainfall, residents are advised to remain cautious and avoid low-lying areas that are susceptible to flooding. The rainy season typically lasts until September in Mumbai, with the citys infrastructure often challenged by the heavy downpours. Emergency services are on alert to respond to any incidents that may arise from the severe weather conditions.
