DU Offers 1,370 ECA Quota Seats for Undergraduate Admissions: Application Process Details Available
Delhi University (DU) has announced the availability of 1,370 undergraduate seats designated for the extra-curricular activities (ECA) quota for the academic session of 2026-27. The registration process is currently underway through the Common Seat Allocation System for Undergraduates (CSAS-UG) portal.
The ECA quota aims to encourage student participation in diverse extra-curricular domains. Among the various activities, theatre, Indian classical dance, and Indian vocal music have received the highest number of seat allocations, reflecting the universitys emphasis on arts and culture.
In the admission process, a substantial weightage is assigned to the scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which is an essential criterion for applicants. In addition, certificates that demonstrate proficiency in relevant ECA disciplines, along with performance trials, will also be considered during the selection process.
Interested candidates are encouraged to visit the CSAS-UG portal for detailed information regarding the application procedures and eligibility criteria. The inclusion of ECA seats is part of DUs commitment to fostering a holistic educational environment that nurtures both academic and extracurricular excellence.
