ICEYE selects India for sovereign Synthetic Aperture Radar mission and partners with Agnikul Cosmos for launch.

Chennai-based Agnikul Cosmos has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICEYE, a global leader in sovereign intelligence leveraging space-based technology. The agreement aims to explore the feasibility of developing, launching, and operating Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) earth observation systems from India.

Agnikul Cosmos specializes in small satellite launch vehicles, while ICEYE is renowned for its innovative SAR technology that provides timely and accurate earth observation data. Through this collaboration, the two companies intend to enhance India’s capabilities in satellite-based surveillance and data collection, potentially supporting various sectors such as agriculture, disaster management, and urban planning.

This initiative aligns with Indias broader goals of advancing its space industry and promoting indigenous technologies. The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for research, development, and operational integration of satellite systems within India’s growing aerospace sector.
