Shraddha Kapoor Secures Increased Fee of Rs 15 Crore for Upcoming Biopic

Shraddha Kapoor has reportedly increased her acting fee to Rs. 15 crore for her upcoming film Eetha, slated for release in 2026. The biographical drama, directed by Laxman Utekar, chronicles the life of the renowned Marathi Tamasha artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar. This significant rise in her salary follows the box office success of her recent film, Stree 2.

Eetha is being produced by Dinesh Vijan, a notable figure in the Indian film industry, known for backing various successful projects. The film is set to hit theaters on August 28, 2026.

Currently, the film is facing a title controversy, with objections raised by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the surviving family members of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, who are reportedly concerned about the portrayal and representation of the artist. The resolution of these issues will be closely monitored as the films release date approaches.
