PSEB Introduces Pustak Portal, Providing 15% Textbook Discount for 1.2 Million Students in Punjab

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has officially launched the PSEB Pustak Portal, an e-commerce platform designed for the online ordering of textbooks published by the board. This initiative aims to benefit over 1.2 million students throughout Punjab by offering a direct 15% discount on textbook purchases. The anticipated annual savings for students is approximately ₹2.15 crore.

The PSEB has printed a total of 2.25 crore textbooks across 361 different titles to cater to the educational needs of students. Additionally, the board has established 97 delivery and pick-up centers to facilitate accessibility for users. In a move to enhance the convenience of textbook distribution, home delivery services will also be available via India Post under the Gyan Post Scheme, which offers delivery at concessional rates.

This initiative not only aims to ease the financial burden of purchasing educational materials but also modernizes the process of obtaining textbooks, catering to the needs of students and parents alike in the region.
