Lokesh Invites Korean Companies to Invest in EV and Semiconductor Sectors in Andhra Pradesh

During his recent visit to South Korea, the Minister extended invitations to several prominent companies, including Hyundai Mobis, LG Electronics, and APACT, to establish operations in India focused on electric vehicles (EV), semiconductors, and electronics manufacturing.

In addition to this outreach, LG Electronics has officially announced plans to invest ₹5,000 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Sri City, India. This initiative is part of LGs broader strategy to enhance its production capabilities and contribute to Indias growing electronics sector. The establishment of these units is expected to bolster local job creation and support the Indian governments efforts to promote sustainable transportation and advanced technology industries.

The visit highlights Indias commitment to fostering international partnerships in the tech sector, aiming to position the country as a global hub for semiconductor and electronic manufacturing in the context of rising demand for EVs and related technologies.
