### Brendon McCullum Dismissed as England Test Coach, Remains with White-Ball Teams

Brendon McCullum has been relieved of his duties as the head coach of the England Test cricket team but will continue to serve in his roles for the T20 and One Day International (ODI) formats. This decision follows a challenging period for the Test side, which has struggled to find consistency in performance under McCullum’s leadership since he took over in May 2022.

During his tenure, McCullum led England to an aggressive style of play, earning mixed reviews. The team achieved notable victories but also faced significant defeats, culminating in a disappointing series against India and Australia.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is reportedly considering several candidates to replace McCullum as Test coach, with former cricketer Rahul Dravid emerging as a potential front-runner. Dravid has extensive experience and respect within the cricketing community and could bring a fresh perspective to the Test strategy.

Despite McCullums departure from the Test team, the ECB has maintained confidence in the direction set by Managing Director of Men’s Cricket, Rob Key. Keys continued leadership is backed by many within the organization, including former England international umpire, Richard Gould.

The ECB is now tasked with finding a suitable replacement in a crucial period as they look ahead to future Test series and the World Test Championship.

McCullum’s contributions to the team in white-ball formats will remain in focus as England prepares for upcoming international fixtures.
