Prashant Kishor Declares Personal Assets Worth Rs 96 Crore and Spouses Assets Valued at Rs 101 Crore

Prashant Kishor’s Election Affidavit Reveals Assets Exceeding ₹198 Crore

In anticipation of the upcoming Bankipur assembly by-election, well-known political strategist Prashant Kishor has submitted an affidavit detailing his personal and familial assets, which total over ₹198 crore. Kishor himself declares assets valued at approximately ₹96 crore, while his wife’s assets are reported to be worth about ₹101 crore.

Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, has outlined in his affidavit several financial assets, including a dismantled rice mill and various holdings in gold. This disclosure comes as part of the statutory requirements for candidates ahead of elections in India, aimed at promoting transparency in the electoral process.

In parallel, Kishor is contending in the Bankipur by-election against candidates from significant political parties, including the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The BJPs Bihar chief, Nitin Nabin, has recently assessed the partys preparations for the forthcoming by-poll. This suggests a competitive electoral landscape as Kishor, who has carved a niche as a political strategist, seeks to move from consultancy to an active political role.

The Bankipur constituency will not only serve as a test for Kishor’s political ambitions but will also reflect the larger trends in Bihar’s political climate as parties prepare to engage voters on various issues ahead of the elections.
