India to invest $1.48 billion in AI data center and establish a 5,000-seat tech hub.

HCLTech, India’s leading technology services firm, is set to invest approximately $1.48 billion (about ₹14,257 crore) in the development of an artificial intelligence (AI) data center and tech hub in Odisha. This announcement marks a significant move towards enhancing the regions technological capabilities and infrastructure.

The project, which aims to establish a 5,000-seat technology hub within the AI data center, is expected to create numerous job opportunities and bolster local economic growth. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this initiative was officially signed between HCLTech and the Government of Odisha, showcasing a partnership focused on driving innovation and technological advancement in the state.
