In a recent statement, Asaduddin Owaisi, leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), extended an offer to Akhilesh Yadav, head of the Samajwadi Party, to form a pre-poll alliance for the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections. Owaisi emphasized the importance of collaboration among opposition parties to effectively counter the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state.
