NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 1 Choice Filling Window Now Open; Candidates Can Submit Preferences Until August 13

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced the first round of choice filling for the NEET UG Counselling for 2026. Registered candidates can now submit their preferences for colleges and courses until August 13. This counselling process encompasses 15% of All India Quota seats, as well as admissions to institutes such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER). It is important to note that the admissions for state quota seats will be managed independently by the respective state authorities.

Candidates are advised to thoroughly research their options and prioritize their choices wisely to optimize their chances of admission. Following the completion of the choice filling process, the MCC will conduct seat allocation based on the preferences submitted and the merit of the candidates. Further rounds may be scheduled as needed, and updates will be provided through official announcements on the MCCs website and relevant educational portals.
