India finished the World Athletics U20 Championships held in Langley, Washington, with a total of three medals. Despite disappointing performances from some athletes, including high jumper Pooja Singh, who placed seventh in the finals, the Indian contingent celebrated notable achievements.

Shahnavaz from Pratapgarh made history by winning a bronze medal in the mens javelin throw, marking a significant accomplishment in Indian athletics at the U20 level. His achievement has placed him alongside fellow athlete Basant, who also secured a bronze in the mens high jump event, emphasizing a strong showing from Indian jumpers.
