NTA Cancels UGC-NET Exams for Three Subjects Due to Errors

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the cancellation of the UGC-NET examinations for three subjects—English, Sociology, and Commerce—after identifying multiple errors in the question papers. Reports indicate that significant typographical mistakes, including incorrect spellings and flawed question formats, led to this decision. Specific examples included misprints such as “Putzer” instead of “Putzer” and “Parsow” instead of “Parsons,” which raised concerns regarding the integrity of the assessments.

In response to complaints from test-takers regarding the quality of the examination materials, the NTA has ordered a re-examination for the affected subjects. New exam dates have been released, and candidates are expected to stay tuned for further updates.

Additionally, the NTA recently released answer keys for a total of 84 subjects from previous UGC-NET examinations, providing transparency and allowing candidates to evaluate their performance.
