Director Supports Aishwaryas Style at Cannes

Film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has publicly defended actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan against criticism regarding her fashion choices at international events. Bhansali highlighted Aishwarya’s influential role in showcasing Indian culture and talent on the global stage, asserting that her contribution extends beyond mere physical appearances.

In addition, Bhansali revealed that he initially intended to cast Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan in the lead roles of his historical epic “Bajirao Mastani.” However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the casting changed, and the film ultimately starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. “Bajirao Mastani,” which was released in 2015, went on to receive critical acclaim and commercial success, showcasing Bhansalis vision for Indian cinema.
