43 Maharashtra Students Tour ISROs Sriharikota Center, Engage with Scientists and Explore Launch Pads

The Care For You Foundation recently facilitated an educational visit for 43 students from childcare institutions across Maharashtra to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) facility located at Sriharikota. The visit was supported by 30 volunteers who accompanied the students.

During their time at the Sriharikota centre, the students had the opportunity to explore key areas, including the first and second launch pads as well as the control room. They engaged directly with ISRO scientists and officials, gaining insights into Indias space missions, technological advancements, and ongoing research initiatives.

Notably, ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan participated in the event by connecting with the students through an online session from Bengaluru. He answered their questions and motivated them to pursue interests in space science and technology.

This visit is part of a broader initiative aimed at inspiring young minds and increasing awareness about space exploration and its significance in modern society. ISRO has been pivotal in advancing India’s space capabilities, and such interactions serve to nurture the next generation of scientists and engineers in the country.
