Prime Minister Narendra Modi Honored with Uzbekistans ‘Oliy Darajali Dostlik’ Order

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received the distinguished Oliy Darajali Dostlik (Order of Friendship) from Uzbekistan, a symbolic gesture of appreciation for his contributions to strengthening India-Uzbekistan relations. This award recognizes Modis efforts in fostering diplomatic ties and enhancing cooperation between the two nations.

In total, Prime Minister Modi has been bestowed with 36 honorary international awards, reflecting his prominent position on the global stage. During his visit to Uzbekistan, Modi also paid tribute to former Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri by planting a tree, commemorating Shastris legacy and his historical ties to the region.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah described the honor as a “grand moment of pride” for every Indian, underlining the importance of the recognition in reinforcing national pride and international diplomacy.

Additionally, PM Modis trip includes participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Kyrgyzstan, where leaders from member states will discuss regional security issues, economic collaboration, and other pressing global challenges.
