iPhone 17 Price Increases by Over 20% in India Amid Overall Price Hikes

Apple has announced significant price increases for its iPhone lineup in India, with the latest iPhone 17 starting at ₹99,900, marking an increase of over 20% compared to previous models. Notably, other devices, including older iPhone models, have also seen price hikes, with some series experiencing increases of up to 22%.

The price adjustments come in the wake of Apple’s recent launch of the iPhone 17 series, which was designed to retain market competitiveness while addressing rising operational costs. The iPhone 17 introduces several enhancements over its predecessor, including improved camera capabilities and processing power.

In the previous generation, the iPhone 16 and its variants have also seen their prices revised upwards. This trend is part of a broader strategy by Apple to boost profitability amidst global supply chain disruptions and increased production costs.

In other markets, Apple has similarly adjusted prices for iPhones, raising the cost of older models by approximately $100. These changes may influence consumer purchasing decisions during the upcoming holiday season, where demand for smartphones typically peaks.

As Apple continues to solidify its position in the premium smartphone market, analysts are observing the impact of these price changes on sales and customer loyalty in a highly competitive landscape.
