Govinda Celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with Family Despite Absence from Home Festivities

Bollywood actor Govinda recently reunited with his family for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations after returning from a trip to the United States. His wife, Sunita Ahuja, along with their children, Yashvardhan and Tina, took part in traditional rituals, welcoming Ganpati Bappa into their home. Sunita expressed her sentiments regarding the festivities, explaining that she personally brought home the idol of Ganesh this year and noted the importance of the festive celebrations in their family.

While Govinda was unable to attend the initial festivities due to his stay in the U.S., he made a point to join his children for a darshan (viewing) of the deity when he returned. He shared his heartfelt wishes for his son, stating, “I pray to Bappa to give Yash his best wishes,” highlighting the familys close ties and devotion during this significant occasion.

The Ganesh Chaturthi festival, celebrated widely across India, involves bringing home the idol of Lord Ganesha, performing pooja (prayers), and eventually immersing the idol in water. This year, the Ahuja family continues the tradition of celebrating with fervor, despite Govinda’s delayed involvement, demonstrating the enduring significance of family and cultural practices during this festive period.
