The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) tasked with examining the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill will hold its inaugural meeting today in New Delhi. This committee is responsible for scrutinizing the proposed changes to the regulations governing foreign contributions to organizations in India, which have been a point of contention in recent years.

As part of the committees composition, two Rajya Sabha members have been appointed as special invitees, further enhancing the representation and breadth of discussion during the meetings.
