Tender Issued for 25 MW Solar Power Plant at Bobbili Airfield in Andhra Pradesh

The Defence Estates Office has announced a tender for the construction of a 25 MW solar power plant at Bobbili Airfield, located in Andhra Pradesh. This initiative is part of the Indian governments broader efforts to enhance renewable energy capacity and reduce carbon emissions through the increased use of solar technology.

The selected contractor will be responsible for the design, procurement, and installation of the solar power facility, as well as its subsequent operation and maintenance. The project aligns with Indias commitment to achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based energy capacity by 2030 and serves to bolster the countrys energy security.
