Centre Assures Stability in Fertilizer Stocks

Union Minister J. P. Nadda has held discussions with State Agriculture Ministers to address the current availability of fertilizers across the country. During these conversations, Nadda emphasized the governments commitment to ensuring that farmers have adequate access to fertilizers for the upcoming agricultural season.

In recent months, fertilizer supply has been a topic of concern for farmers, particularly in light of increased demand during the planting season. The government has been actively working to streamline the distribution process and ensure that adequate stocks are available in various states.

Naddas engagement with state officials is part of a broader initiative to enhance coordination between the central and state governments, enabling timely interventions to support the agricultural sector. This move comes as part of the governments efforts to bolster food production and support farmers amid various challenges, including fluctuating global fertilizer prices and supply chain disruptions.

Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture is expected to release updated guidelines and resources to assist farmers in optimizing fertilizer use, thereby promoting sustainable farming practices.
