Pawan Kalyan Orders Investigation into Elephant Herds Movement in Chittoor District

Pawan Kalyan Calls for Monitoring Elephant Herd in Chittoor; Notices Issued to Aqua Units

Chittoor, India – Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Jana Sena Party and a prominent actor, has directed local authorities to monitor a herd of elephants that has been causing disturbances in the Chittoor district. To manage the situation and ensure public safety, the government will deploy trained kumkis (elephant handlers) to guide the animals back to their natural habitat.

In addition, the officials have issued notices to ten aqua farming units in the region. These notices are part of a broader environmental and ecological assessment concerning the impact of such farms on local wildlife, particularly emphasizing the need for sustainable practices that do not disrupt the natural habitats of native species, including elephants.

The presence of the elephant herd in agricultural areas has raised concerns among local farmers, who fear damage to their crops and potential safety risks. Authorities are working to quickly address the situation while ensuring the elephants are safely escorted back to their designated migratory routes. The local wildlife department is also involved in the efforts to monitor the herd and develop strategies for coexistence between wildlife and agricultural activities.

This initiative highlights the ongoing challenges faced by communities in areas where urban development interacts with wildlife habitats and aims to promote a balanced approach to conservation and agriculture.
