Kerala School Kalolsavam 2027: Ernakulam to Host Festival from January 4 to 8 After 20 Years

The Kerala School Kalolsavam, a prestigious cultural festival showcasing the artistic talents of school students, is set to be held in Ernakulam from January 4 to 8, 2027. This marks the return of the event to the district after a 20-year hiatus, enhancing excitement among the local community and educational institutions.

Organized annually by the Kerala State School Arts Festival, Kalolsavam serves as a platform for students from across the state to compete in various arts, including music, dance, drama, and literary activities. In preparation for the event, schools are expected to conduct extensive training sessions and auditions to select their best talents, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and cultural exchange among participants.

The last Kalolsavam held in Ernakulam was in 2007, and the 2027 festival is anticipated to draw thousands of students, parents, and art enthusiasts from different regions. Local authorities and educational organizations are gearing up for the event, focusing on infrastructure improvements and accommodations for attendees.

While specific details about the festivals schedule and featured events will be announced in the coming months, the return of the Kalolsavam to Ernakulam underscores the significance of arts and culture in the educational landscape of Kerala.
