Resume of Physical DLRC Card Distribution

The Andhra Pradesh (AP) government has announced that it will resume the physical distribution of Driving Licenses (DL) and Registration Certificates (RC) starting immediately. This decision comes after a temporary suspension of services due to the ongoing pandemic and subsequent safety measures.

In a statement released by the states Transport Department, officials emphasized the importance of maintaining public safety while streamlining service delivery. The physical distribution will allow citizens to receive their DLs and RCs in person, addressing concerns regarding digital access and ensuring that all citizens have the necessary documentation for legal vehicle operation.

The AP government encourages residents to make use of the online services available through the official website to expedite their applications prior to visiting the distribution centers. Additionally, the departments involved have put protocols in place to ensure social distancing and hygiene practices are followed during the issuance process.

Residents are advised to check the specific locations and office hours for the distribution centers through the official government portal to avoid congestion and delays. This move is part of a broader effort by the AP government to enhance citizen services while adapting to post-pandemic realities.
