BRS Questions Telangana Government on Weaver Payments Ahead of CM Reddys Sircilla Visit

BRS Raises Concerns with Telangana Government Regarding Weaver Payments Ahead of CM Reddys Sircilla Visit

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has formally questioned the Telangana state government regarding the delayed payments to weavers, coinciding with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Raos visit to Sircilla, a prominent weaving hub in the region.

Weavers have expressed their frustration over outstanding dues, which they assert have not been settled for several months. The BRS has called on the government to address these payment delays urgently, arguing that timely financial support is crucial for sustaining the livelihoods of weavers, particularly in Sircilla, known for its rich textile heritage.

The visit by CM Rao to Sircilla is expected to include discussions focused on the development of the weaving sector and addressing the grievances of local artisans. The government has previously announced various welfare schemes aimed at supporting weavers, but implementation and timely disbursement of funds have been areas of concern raised by opposition parties and community leaders.

The weavers community plays a vital role in Telanganas economy, contributing significantly to its cultural and traditional fabric. As the government prepares for the Chief Ministers visit, it remains to be seen how these concerns will be addressed to ensure the well-being of this essential sector.
