100% Housing Coverage for Low-Income Families in Andhra Pradesh by 2029

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced an ambitious plan to achieve complete housing coverage for the economically disadvantaged population in the state by the year 2029. The initiative aims to ensure that every poor family has access to a permanent dwelling, reflecting the governments commitment to addressing housing shortages among the underprivileged.

During a recent event, Naidu underscored the significance of this goal, emphasizing that the provision of adequate housing is a fundamental right. He noted that the initiative is part of a broader effort to improve living conditions and uplift marginalized communities across Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister detailed the government’s approach, which includes the construction of low-cost housing units and the implementation of subsidy schemes aimed at making homes more affordable for low-income families. Naidu also highlighted that the project would not only provide shelter but also create job opportunities in the construction sector, thereby contributing to the economic growth of the state.

In his address, Naidu reassured citizens that the government is already in discussions with various stakeholders to facilitate the necessary funding and resources for this ambitious project. The vision for 2029 includes not only housing development but also integrated urban planning, which will help create sustainable living environments.

As the initiative progresses, the Chief Minister called for collaboration between local authorities and community organizations to ensure that the project meets the specific needs of the residents and is implemented effectively. By setting this ambitious target, Andhra Pradesh aims to set a precedent for housing policies in other states across India.
