Government to Establish One Stop Centres in Every District to Enhance Womens Safety and Support.

The Yogi Adityanath government has announced the establishment of One Stop Centres (OSCs) in each district of Uttar Pradesh to enhance womens safety and support. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive set of services to women affected by violence and other issues, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance in a single location.

These centres will offer a range of services, including legal aid, medical support, psychological counseling, and assistance in filing complaints with law enforcement agencies. The government’s decision reflects its commitment to improving womens security and addressing the challenges they face in society.

Officials outlined that these OSCs will be staffed by trained professionals ready to respond to emergencies and provide guidance. The centres are designed to foster a safe environment where women can seek help without fear and receive holistic support to rebuild their lives.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy by the Yogi government to improve the safety and empowerment of women in the state. Previous measures have included increased funding for women’s welfare programs and campaigns to raise awareness around gender-based violence.

Additionally, the establishment of these centres highlights a growing recognition of the importance of addressing womens issues at a local level, empowering them to take control of their well-being and encouraging societal change. The government hopes that, with these centres in place, more women will have the opportunity to seek help and articulate their rights.
