Political Parties and Outfits Highlight Brahmin Context in Reference to Pandit in U.P. Police Recruitment Exam

In a recent candidate assessment, participants were presented with a question prompting them to select a term that describes ‘a person who changes according to circumstances.’ The options included ‘Pandit’ (scholar), ‘Avsarvadi’ (opportunist), ‘Nishkapat’ (innocent or sincere), and ‘Sadachari’ (virtuous). In response to the sensitivity surrounding this question, the Chief Minister has issued directives to prevent the use of ‘derogatory’ and ‘disrespectful’ references in future assessments.
