Kerala Elections: CPIs Binoy Viswam States Party Welcomes All Votes, Including SDPI Support
In response to allegations suggesting a collaboration between the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), CPI(M) leader A. Vijayaraghavan Viswam has firmly rejected the claims, asserting that any real political understanding exists between the BJP and the Indian National Congress.
Viswams remarks come amidst ongoing political discourse in Kerala, where the dynamics between various parties continue to evolve ahead of the upcoming elections. He emphasized that the narrative of CPI(M) aligning with BJP is unfounded and serves to distract from the actual political alignments happening at the national level.
The CPI(M), a significant left-leaning political force, has historically opposed BJP policies, particularly those pertaining to economic and social issues, while Congress has been criticized for its attempts to counter the BJPs influence. Viswam’s statement underscores the complexities of Indian political alliances and highlights the necessity for scrutiny of claims made by rival parties. As the election approaches, both CPI(M) and Congress are expected to focus on rallying their bases while challenging the BJPs agenda.
