Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Tensions Increase in Palakkad as BJP Targets UDF MLA Controversy
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated Sobha Surendran in an effort to secure the seat from the United Democratic Front (UDF). Surendran played a pivotal role in helping the BJP achieve second place in the constituency for the first time in 2016. Meanwhile, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) has consistently placed third in this segment over the past three elections. As of now, neither the UDF nor the LDF has announced their candidates for the upcoming election.
