A.P. Chief Minister Introduces Strategy for Tourism Diversification; Panel Established to Expedite Projects

In a recent meeting, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the urgent need for officials to accelerate infrastructure development in response to the increasing number of tourists visiting the region. A major target has been set to establish 50,000 hotel rooms and 10,000 homestays by the year 2029.

This initiative aims to enhance the hospitality sector and accommodate the projected rise in travelers, which is expected to boost the local economy significantly. The Chief Minister noted that improved infrastructure will not only support tourism but also create job opportunities for residents.

In addition to hotel and homestay accommodations, the government is likely to focus on enhancing transportation networks, recreational facilities, and tourism-related services to create a more welcoming environment for visitors. Efforts are expected to be coordinated with various stakeholders, including local businesses, to ensure that the needs of both tourists and the local community are met efficiently.

As the region prepares for further growth in tourism, officials will be tasked with planning and executing these developments strategically, ensuring sustainability and quality standards are maintained throughout the process.
