APCRDA Begins Search for Consultant to Develop Governance Framework for Amaravati

The government has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to identify a qualified firm responsible for developing a comprehensive roadmap for the transition of Amaravati. This initiative aims to transform Amaravati from its current developmental stage into a fully operational capital city.

The selected firm will be expected to outline strategic plans covering various aspects of urban development, infrastructure, governance, and public service delivery. The roadmap will serve as a guideline to facilitate this transition over the coming years, ensuring that Amaravati effectively fulfills its role as the administrative and economic center of the state.

Amaravati, situated on the banks of the Krishna River in Andhra Pradesh, was envisioned as a greenfield capital city to replace Hyderabad after the bifurcation of the state in 2014. The successful execution of this project is anticipated to enhance economic growth and improve living standards for its residents. Proposals from interested firms are expected to address innovative urban planning, community engagement, and sustainable development practices.
