Assam Reaches Agreement with Hmar and Kuki Groups
A new agreement has been reached to establish welfare development councils for the Hmar and Kuki communities. Representatives from all four involved groups have signed a Suspension of Operations pact and disarmed in 2012. Assams Minister has confirmed that measures will be implemented for the rehabilitation of former cadres.
