Bengaluru International Airport (BIAL) announced that Terminal 2 has attained a prestigious 5-star rating from Skytrax, marking it as Indias first airport terminal to receive this accolade. Additionally, the airport has achieved Level 5 Accreditation under the Airport Carbon Accreditation program, which recognizes its commitment to carbon reduction and sustainability practices.
The Skytrax rating is a globally recognized benchmark for airports, assessing various aspects, including customer service, cleanliness, and overall passenger experience. Terminal 2, which was inaugurated in November 2022, has been praised for its modern design and facilities that enhance the travel experience.
The ACIs Level 5 Accreditation is the highest tier in the Airport Carbon Accreditation program, indicating that the airport has not only implemented measures to reduce its carbon footprint but has also established a comprehensive framework for ongoing improvement. It reflects BIALs dedication to environmental sustainability and its efforts to align with global efforts to combat climate change.
