Bengalurus Kempegowda International Airport Recognized as Best Regional Airport in India and South Asia, Advances to 41st in Global Rankings

Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) has announced that Terminal 2 at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first airport terminal in India to receive a prestigious 5-star rating from Skytrax, an esteemed aviation consultancy known for its comprehensive evaluation of airports worldwide.

In addition to this accolade, the airport has also attained the highest Level 5 Accreditation in the Airport Carbon Accreditation program, administered by Airports Council International (ACI). This recognition underscores the airports commitment to sustainability and carbon management, as Level 5 signifies that the airport is actively reducing its carbon footprint through extensive measures and initiatives.

These accomplishments reflect BIALs dedication to enhancing passenger experience and environmental responsibility, positioning Bengaluru International Airport as a leader in the Indian aviation sector.
