BJP Releases Second List of 39 Candidates for Kerala Assembly Elections; Kummanam to Run in Aranmula

C.C. Mukundan, a former legislator with the Communist Party of India (CPI) who was expelled from the party, has announced his intention to contest in the upcoming elections from the Nattika constituency as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His transition to the BJP follows strategic political realignments within the region.

Additionally, the BJP has selected B. Gopalakrishnan to represent the party in the Guruvayur constituency. This move is part of the BJPs broader strategy to strengthen its foothold in Kerala, a state that has traditionally been dominated by leftist and Congress-led coalitions.

The political landscape in Kerala has been shifting, with various parties vying for influence amidst changing voter demographics and preferences. As the elections approach, both Mukundan and Gopalakrishnan are expected to focus on local issues and development agendas that resonate with their constituents. The BJP aims to capitalize on this opportunity to enhance its representation in the state assembly.
