Chemists Association Calls for Government Support to Strengthen Local Pharmaceutical Industry

The Andhra Pradesh Chemical Dealers Association (APCDA) has reiterated its request to the state government urging it to encourage pharmaceutical companies to establish their depots and Carrying and Forwarding Agencies (CFA) within Andhra Pradesh.

This appeal comes in light of the associations belief that local depots would significantly enhance the supply chain efficiency for pharmaceutical products, ultimately benefiting healthcare providers and patients in the region. The establishment of these facilities could also lead to job creation and stimulate economic growth within the local community.

The APCDA argues that having these operations based in Andhra Pradesh would ensure a more consistent and timely delivery of pharmaceutical products, reducing lead times and ensuring that healthcare facilities are adequately stocked. As the state continues to invest in its healthcare infrastructure, the association emphasizes the need for a robust supply chain to support the increasing demand for medical supplies.

The response from the state government regarding this request remains to be seen, and the APCDA hopes to engage in further dialogue to explore potential collaboration with local pharmaceutical firms.
