Final List of U.P. SIR Exercise Results in Deletion of Over Two Crore Names

As of October 2025, a total of 13.21% of the electorate in the state has been removed from the voter rolls prior to the commencement of the Special Identification Review (SIR) process. Following these deletions, the final list of registered voters now stands at 13,39,84,792. This figure includes 7,30,71,071 male voters and 6,09,09,525 female voters.

The SIR process aims to ensure the accuracy and integrity of voter registration, addressing issues such as duplicate entries and ineligible voters. The effort aligns with ongoing initiatives to enhance electoral transparency and ensure a fair voting process. As states across India continue to refine their electoral rolls, such measures are critical for maintaining public trust and facilitating informed participation in the democratic process.
