Gandhi Bunakar Mela Inaugurated in Vijayawada

A national-level handloom exhibition, dedicated to supporting handloom weavers and showcasing traditional textiles, is set to run until March 31. The exhibition serves as a platform for artisans to display their craftsmanship, while also providing an opportunity for visitors to learn about the rich history and cultural significance of handloom practices in India.

This event not only highlights the intricate designs and diverse materials used in handloom textiles but also aims to promote sustainable fashion by encouraging the use of locally sourced materials. Attendees will have the chance to purchase a variety of products directly from the weavers, thereby contributing to their livelihoods.

Additionally, workshops and demonstrations might be offered throughout the exhibition, allowing participants to gain firsthand experience of handloom techniques. This initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to revive interest in traditional crafts and support the livelihoods of artisans across the country.
