Global Landmarks Dim Lights in Honor of Earth Hour

On Saturday night, notable global landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Sagrada Família Basilica in Barcelona, were darkened for one hour as part of an initiative to raise awareness about climate change. This event, known as Earth Hour, encourages individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential lights to highlight the importance of conserving energy and protecting the planet.

Earth Hour, which began in 2007 and has grown into a global movement, aims to inspire action towards a sustainable future by promoting environmental awareness. Cities across the world participated this year, with many iconic structures joining in the symbolic gesture. The event underscores the urgent need for collective efforts in addressing environmental challenges, including climate change and biodiversity loss.
