IMA Raises Concerns Over Political Parties Support for Mixopathy in Kerala Manifests

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has released a statement in conjunction with World Health Day, observed annually on April 7th. This year, the theme is “Unite for Health, Stand with Science.” The IMA emphasizes the importance of collaborative efforts in health initiatives and underscores the need for scientific integrity and research in improving healthcare delivery.

World Health Day aims to promote awareness of global health issues and encourages organizations and individuals to support initiatives that advance health equity and access to quality healthcare for all. The theme fosters unity among health professionals, policymakers, and communities, urging them to work together in tackling health challenges and misinformation.

The IMAs statement outlines the association’s commitment to advocating for science-based policies and public health interventions as well as reinforcing the critical role healthcare professionals play in educating the public about health issues. Additionally, the IMA calls for collective action to strengthen health systems and address prevalent health concerns, including non-communicable diseases, mental health awareness, and the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The celebration of World Health Day reiterates the global commitment to health and well-being, aiming to inspire cooperation on health matters and drive progress towards achieving health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
