Increase in Customer Inquiries for PNG Connections Reported in Hyderabad
In response to increasing demand for piped natural gas (PNG) and the Indian governments initiative to promote its use, City Gas Distribution companies, including Bhagyanagar Gas Limited (BGL), are intensifying their efforts to expand their pipeline networks across the country.
The government’s emphasis on PNG is part of a broader strategy to enhance energy security and reduce reliance on traditional fuels, which are typically more polluting. As a result, BGL and other entities are working towards enhancing infrastructure to facilitate the distribution of natural gas to residential, commercial, and industrial consumers. This initiative aligns with India’s commitment to transition to cleaner energy sources in order to meet its climate goals and improve air quality in urban areas.
Further efforts will likely focus on expanding existing networks and connecting more cities to the gas supply, which may involve significant investment in infrastructure development and technology. The move is anticipated to not only help meet growing energy demands but also to streamline energy consumption in the country.
