Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar Critiques 10-Year LDF Administration in Kerala for Lack of Growth and Employment Opportunities
During his recent visit to Thiruvananthapuram as part of the Congress partys election campaign, Karnataka Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar issued a challenge to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) government. He called on the LDF to clarify the benefits and contributions that the government has provided to the state of Kerala.
Shivakumars comments come ahead of the upcoming elections, where the Congress party is seeking to increase its influence in the region. He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in governance, questioning the LDFs performance and delivery of services to the public during its tenure.
The LDF, which includes the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and other left-leaning parties, has been in power in Kerala since 2016. The coalition is known for its focus on welfare programs, infrastructure development, and social justice initiatives. As the political landscape in Kerala continues to evolve, the responses to Shivakumars challenge will likely play a crucial role in shaping public opinion ahead of the elections.
