Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Election Commission to Print Ballots with Color Images at Three Government Presses

In an update regarding the preparation for the upcoming elections, officials have confirmed that out of the 11 printing presses managed by the election department in the state, only three facilities will be responsible for producing the ballots. Specifically, two of these presses are located in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital, and one is situated in Ernakulam.

This decision may have implications for the efficiency and timing of ballot production and distribution, as the election department aims to ensure that all necessary materials are ready in advance of the polling dates. The states electoral infrastructure has been under scrutiny, and this information highlights preparations being made to ensure a smooth electoral process. Voter engagement and transparency are key priorities as the state prepares for the elections, scheduled for later this year.
