Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Left Party Faces Challenges with Changing Allegiances

In preparation for the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections in Kerala, six former legislators have officially ended their association with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) and the Communist Party of India (CPI). Of the six, four previously held positions with CPI(M), while two were affiliated with CPI. These individuals are now positioning themselves to contest the elections either under rival party banners or as independent candidates.
