Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Political Tensions Increase in Palakkad as BJP Targets UDF MLA Controversy

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated Sobha Surendran, who previously played a key role in securing the partys second-place position in the constituency in 2016. The party aims to take the seat from the United Democratic Front (UDF). In recent elections, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) has consistently finished third in this segment. As of now, neither the UDF nor the LDF has announced their candidates for the constituency.
