Minister Narayana Plans Initiative for Nellores Development as a Green City

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has allocated ₹850 crore to the Nellore Municipal Corporation for the development of the city, aiming to transform it in a manner similar to urban planning seen in Chandigarh and Singapore. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance infrastructure and livability in urban areas across the state.

The funds will be utilized for various development projects, including improvements to public transportation, green spaces, and smart city features that promote sustainability and efficiency. The plan also aims to improve the quality of life for residents by enhancing public amenities, such as parks, roads, and sanitation facilities.

Officials from the Nellore Municipal Corporation have indicated that they will engage with urban planners and architects to ensure that the development aligns with modern urban design principles while catering to the specific needs of the local population. The project is expected to stimulate economic growth in the region and attract investment, contributing to the overall prosperity of Nellore.

This allocation is part of the Andhra Pradesh governments ongoing commitment to urban development, which includes similar projects in other cities to create smart, sustainable living environments.
