Postal Ballot Voting for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities Commences in Vellore

Election officials have announced that a total of 5,673 individuals, including persons with disabilities and senior citizens, will be eligible to cast postal ballots in five assembly constituencies. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and ensure that voters who may face challenges in attending polling stations can participate in the electoral process.

Postal voting provisions allow eligible voters to receive and submit their ballots by mail, ensuring that they can exercise their right to vote conveniently and securely. The decision to implement postal voting for these groups aligns with efforts to promote inclusivity in the democratic process.

Election authorities have emphasized the importance of providing equal voting opportunities for all citizens, particularly those who may have mobility issues or health concerns. Those eligible for postal ballots will be informed about the procedures to obtain and submit their votes in a timely manner, ensuring that their voices are heard in the upcoming elections.
